Search queries — When you search for an ingredient, the query is processed to return results. Search queries are not stored against your identity and are not retained.
Contact form submissions — If you contact us, we store your name, email address, subject, and message so we can reply. We keep these for 12 months.
Ingredient requests — If you submit an ingredient request, we store the ingredient name, your country, and optional email and use-case notes. We keep requests until they are processed.
Hashed IP addresses — We hash IP addresses (using SHA-256, one-way) solely to enforce rate limits on form submissions. Raw IP addresses are never stored.
Necessary — A small number of cookies remember your cookie choices and which consent rules apply in your region. These are always on.
Analytics — We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful. It sets cookies such as _ga. If you turn analytics off, Google Analytics is not loaded.
Advertising — We use Google AdSense, which sets cookies to personalise ads and limit how often you see them. If you turn advertising off you will still see ads, but they will not use cookies or be personalised. You can also opt out of personalised ads via Google's ad settings.
Your choices — If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies are only used after you agree to them. Elsewhere they are on by default and you can turn them off. You can change your choice at any time: .
You can request deletion of any personal data we hold about you. To do so, contact us with your email address and we'll remove it within 30 days.
